Sigh, Brigitte and Rikus’s Swellendam engagement shoot has to be one of my favourite of all. I absolutely cannot wait for their wedding at The Key Venue next year! Rikus is the third (or fourth) generation on their family farm which happens to be just down the road from us. So, it was an easy task to choose a location for their engagement shoot as I knew he’d appreciate shooting somewhere close to home.
We ended up on one of our neighbors’ farms where a field of statice flowers usually blooms for a few weeks in October each year. With the above average rains we had this year, though, the statice flowers were magnificent! Add in the newly engaged lovebirds and we were set for one magical shoot.
